Rules for entering the 2013 Photo Contest.


TUALATIN RIVER NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE PHOTO CONTEST

Submission Requirements:
" Photos must have been taken in any public accessible area within the boundaries of Washington County e.g., Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve, Cooper Mountain Nature Park, etc.
" Any nature scene whether wildlife, plants, or scenic landscape are eligible.
" A photographer may submit up to 5 digital images.
" Photographs will be accepted only from the original photographer who must be the sole author and the owner of the copyright for photos submitted.
" Limited image modifications are allowed: Watermarks, Signatures, or Copyright Notices must be removed prior to submission.
Elements or objects not in original scene should not be added.

Submission File Specifications:
" All entries must be digital uploads only.
" Photos must be submitted in JPG format.
" Each photo should be identified as to the location taken and accompanied with the name,
email address and telephone number of the photographer.
" Each file submission size should be no larger than 5MB in size.
" You may submit up to 5 digital images total.
" Entries must be submitted by 4:00pm (PST) on Sept. 2, 2013 at www.prophotosupply.com.
" To enter the adult contest, you must be at least 18 years of age at the date of entry.
" To enter the youth contest, you must be age 17 or younger at the date of entry.
" Contest is open to all photographers both professional or nonprofessional.
" All finalist will need to be resubmitted in a 300 dpi JPEG format no smaller than 8x10 inches (1500 x 2100 pixels).
" Finalist photographers will also identify location of photograph.
" Contest winners will have their entries framed and displayed in Pro Photo Supply's in-store Photo Gallery, on Pro Photo Supply's Facebook and news blog.
" Employees or contractors of Pro Photo Supply, participating sponsors and those living in the same household are not eligible.
" If submission requirements are not followed, the application and images may not be judged.
Terms & Conditions on use of images:

" Photographers retain ownership of all copyrights. However, by submitting an image for entry in this contest, you automatically give Friends of Tualatin National Wildlife Refuge and Washington County Oregon Visitors Association a non-exclusive, non-transferable, irrevocable license without charge to reproduce and display the image in any electronic, optical, physical, or other medium; to modify its size and resolution; and to use your name as the photographer, without notification or compensation.
" Any one photographer may have more than one winning entry. Twelve winning entries for the refuge contest will be selected in the Adult category and three winning entries for the Youth category. All winning entries will be announced and prizes awarded the evening of October 5, 2013 at the Keynote photographer event, Laural Ridge Middle School, Sherwood, OR. after which all winning images will be displayed at the Refuge Wildlife Center gallery as well as displayed at Pro Photo Supply in-store gallery and online gallery at www.ProPhotoSupply.com.


Creative Nature Camp

Youth are invited to spend a week at Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, connecting with nature and exploring the outdoors with all five senses!
This week long program will feature high quality environmental education and arts activities, including photography, nature journaling, paper making, and wildlife crafts with local Northwest artist Karen White.
Families will be able to follow along with a camp blog, featuring daily highlights.

Ages 8-10: July 15-19
8:30am-12pm- $95
Ages 11-13: July 22-26
8:30am-12pm- $95

Registration: Creative Nature Camp is limited to 20 children each session.

Payment: Payment is due one week after confirmation of camp placement. If payment is not received in one week, the camper(s) will be moved to the wait list. Checks should be made out and sent to:
