The Refuge - Visitor's Center
Featured PhotoPhoto By: Paul Jaussi
Come visit and explore our exhibit hall, Natures Overlook, and our indoor and outdoor viewing areas. Exhibits tell the story of the land from a highly managed Native American landscape, to cultivated onion fields, to the ongoing restoration efforts to turn real estate into refuge. Visitors can also learn about the refuge's wildlife and habitats and how these tie into the National Wildlife Refuge system.
The Wildlife Center is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. -- 4:00 p.m and closed on Mondays. Weekend hours are extended to 10:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Coming during a holiday? Call ahead at 503-625-5945 for holiday hours and/or closures. Volunteers are ready to welcome you and answer your questions. Be sure to visit Nature's Overlook--a non-profit nature store operated by Friends of the Refuge. |
