CANCELLED First Makings Classes

The First Makings classes are important to the urban Native American community because they provide an opportunity for talented members of the community to share their artistic knowledge with others. The title of the classes “First Makings” conveys Native values of generosity and respect for one’s elders. When a person makes an item for the first time that person gifts the item to one of their elders. We introduce the concept at the beginning of the class and invite the students to further the concept. 

The classes are designed so that the students can complete their project within the two days scheduled. The classes are Native American art influenced.

This is a two-day session and runs 10-4 each day. Each class is $15 to cover materials and processing fees. Sorry, no refunds.
