Joyfully Connecting Our Community with the Wonder of the Refuge

Second Saturday Restoration Work Party

  • January 09, 2016
  • 8:45 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Refuge HQ: 19255 SW Pacific Hwy Sherwood, OR 97140

Looking for a way to get involved in restoration? Come out to our Second Saturday restoration work party! For our January party we will be pulling invasive English Ivy that is encroaching on one of our restoration sites along Roy Rodgers road. English Ivy is highly invasive, pulling whole trees down as it climbs its way up trunks, and takes a lot of time and volunteer-power to remove!

We will meet at refuge HQ at 8:45 am to get checked in and head to our work site around 9 am. Snacks and work gloves will be provided. Please wear sturdy shoes and plan for rain.

Email any questions to Habitat Restoration Specialist Sarah Williams at: SWilliams@friendsoftualatinrefuge.org
