Friends of the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge members are invited to a members only pre-sale event for our annual native plant sale. Not a Friends Member? Join now or at the door!

Plants will be supplied by Bosky Dell Nursery, which specializes in Oregon natives only. Natives supply four times the nutrition for birds, bees and wildlife as exotic plants do.

Purchase: wood violets, wild ginger, starry sedum, penstemon, huckleberry, mock orange, low Oregon Grape, and many others.

Visitors may park at the refuge; there is no entry fee. All purchases are cash and carry. Buy all you wish, debit & credit cards accepted.

May Second Saturday Work Party (May 09, 2026)

Join the Friends of Tualatin River NWR for our 2nd Saturday Work Party! We will be improving wildlife habitat by reinforcing the streambanks of Chicken Creek with recycled Christmas trees. The recycled trees will capture sediment and improve fish habitat - learn more at the event! May's work party will be supported by the Tualatin Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

This event will take out of doors, in an uncovered area exposed to the elements. Work will require bending, stooping, and traveling across muddy and uneven surfaces. Long pants and sleeves and layers appropriate for the weather are recommended, along with waterproof boots if you have them. This event will be canceled in the event of hazardous weather or travel conditions. All training, tools, first aid supplies, and light refreshments will be provided.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but volunteers under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers under 18 must have a Volunteer Service Agreement signed by a parent or guardian to participate in the event.
